子どもたちの地域への愛着を育むためには、地域の自然や生物多様性を感じ・学ぶことが重要とされている。しかしながら、そのような実践例は少ない。そこで、本研究は地域の生物多様性への気付きと感動体験から地域愛着の醸成へと繋げていく環境教育プログラムを実践的に開発することを目的とした。大分市立判田小学校の児童約60名を対象に地域の両生類の多様性を感じ・学ぶための両生類の同定講座、採集・体験活動、成果発表会を実施した。また、その事前と事後に本プログラムの教育的効果を測定するためのアンケート調査を行った。結果、児童たちは多様な両生類との出会いや、その背景にある豊かな自然に触れたことで、地域の生き物や自然に対して興味関心が高まり、同時に、地域への興味関心も高まった。これらのことから、本プログラムは児童たちの地域愛着の醸成に有効と考えられた。 |

As a method for children to generate place attachment, experiencing nature and learning about the biodiversity of the region are important.However, there are few such opportunities in practice. Therefore, we aimed to develop an environmental education program that wil lead from nurturing of place attachment. We conducted a lecture and nature experience activities on the theme of the diversity of amphibians for about 60 primary schoolchildren. In addition, in order to measure the before and after this program. As a result, children learned the identification methods of amphibians; further, children encounterd a variety of amphibians and were able to collect these. Through the impressive experience and the awareness of the biodiversity of the region, the children's interest in local nature and creatures increased. At the same time, the children are presumed to have also developed a growing interest in the whole region. Accordingly, this environmental education program was considered to be effective in generating place attachment among children. |
