| 内容記述 | 中世王朝物語の一作品『苔の衣』には,「夢路におぼる」という他に見ない用例がある。どうしてこのような用法に至ったのか,中古中世の物語文学を中心に「夢路」「おぼる・おぼほる」の用例を検討し,考察した。その結果,中世王朝物語の多くは,『源氏物語』の〈禁忌〉の恋のテーマを受け継ぐものの,「夢路」を密通の喩として用いたのは『狭衣物語』が始発であることを確認した。『苔の衣』の「夢路」も『狭衣』の影響ととらえるべきだろう。一方,「おぼる」は,中世以降の「何かに熱中する・ふける」などの意味ではなく,中古以来の涙に「おぼほる」から派生した語と見るほうがよいと考えるに至った。 | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | Koke-no-Koromo, one of the Japanese medieval courtly fictions, has apeculiar expression of “yumeji-ni-oboru," meaning “drowned in the dreams." I examined the usage of “yumeji" and “oboru /obohoru" in other Japanese medieval courtly fictions and considered how such usage had been available in the works of those days. As a result, many of the Japanese medieval imperial stories inherited the motif of forbidden love in Genji Monogatari, on the other hand, it was confirmed that Sagoromo Monogatari is the first work to refer to “yumeji"as a metaphor for adultery. The expression “yumeji" should be regarded to have been influenced by that of Sagoromo Monogatari. I also came to the conclusion that "oboru" does not mean that one is absorbed in something, but that it comes from the expression "namida-ni-obohoru".
